The full size range

Canvas comes in thirteen sizes: 2x3, 3x4, 3x5, 4x6, 5x7, 6x8, 6x10, 8x10, 8x12, 10x12, 12x16, 12x18 and 12x20 inches. As a rough guide:

• 2x3 to 4x6: jewelry, dice, crystals, lip balm, sample-size soaps and coffee samples.
• 5x7 to 8x10: candles, bar soaps, tea tins, gift sets, a small bag of coffee beans.
• 8x12 to 12x16: shoes for children, apparel accessories, a pound of coffee, board games, tools.
• 12x18 and 12x20: handbags, clothing, bulk dry goods and anything you want to store rather than just pack.

Sizes are the finished inside width by height. Allow at least half an inch on each side and an inch at the top so the cord can close above the product.

How to check canvas quality before a bulk order

"Canvas" is not a regulated term, so check the bag itself.

1. Hold it to the light. Good canvas is opaque. If you can see your fingers clearly through it, it is a heavy muslin, not canvas.
2. Look at the seams. Seams should be folded and stitched so no raw edge frays inside the bag.
3. Pull the cords. The cord channel should be sewn down along its length, and the cords should slide without catching.
4. Check the size inside. Measure the finished inside, not the flat outside.
5. Wash one. Cotton canvas shrinks a little on the first hot wash. If your customers will wash the bag, test a sample first.

Wholesale beyond 1,000

Pack prices stop at 1,000. For larger runs, a custom size, a mix of sizes or a printed logo, ask for a quote. Quoted canvas orders are priced on the whole run, so the cost per bag at several thousand is lower than any pack price above.
